Description
Our Ultramatt Vanities are handcrafted in our Melbourne warehouse with materials sourced from a combination of managed forestry, reclaimed and recycled timber.
The advantages of timber are many. It is a natural product, non-toxic and sustainably sourced. Solid timber is an environmentally friendly material. Manufacturing timber products are one of the few industries that are carbon natural. Timber is structurally sound and is easily reused or recycled. It is easily to work with, can be cut, drilled, shaped and prepared with far less steps than other processed building materials.
Our timber vanities feature solid surface benchtops in CORIAN – Deep Cloud with 18mm HMR Ultramatt fronts and options for a single draw bank (2 drawers) or a double drawer bank (4 drawers). We use Blum Antaro soft close runners which are engineered to run silently are hidden from view with a self-closing, soft close action eliminating wobbles and banging drawers. The inbuilt cupboard space includes adjustable shelving and doors and drawers are completed with black satin knobs.
Hardwood timbers such as eucalyptus have natural oils that provide water resistance, however natural timber will fade, move and mark over time The application of finishes ensures longer lasting protection to water, chemicals and general wear and tear.
To protect the timber from wear and tear we use a waterproof UV stabilised 2 Pac polyurethane flat satin finish, this enhances the finish and leaves a natural look providing a high level of long lasting protection with little to or no maintenance required. Our timber vanities are finished in an environmentally friendly, non-toxic natural linseed oil, which delivers water protection and enhances the natural look of timber.
Maintaining the quality of your Ultramatt Vanity
Your timber vanity will need a very light sand and wipe down occasionally when wear becomes evident, generally every 6 – 12 months.
Wiping down your vanity after exposure to steam and water splashes will also further the life of the timber.
Please ensure installation works are done professionally and a correct silicon sealant is applied to the wall junctions and tile joints. Water seepage, pooling, leaks will eventually damage the vanity as well as the structure to your home.
*Basins shown are examples only. Our vanities can be created to accommodate most basins, allowing you to choose a design that suits your needs.
